Our Team. By applying sound business practices and science, combined with excellent customer service, we have realized steady growth. In the last 10 years, the company has almost doubled its number of employees (to almost 450) and billings. Our name has long been synonymous with trust, reliability and quality, which has allowed us to continue to grow, bucking negative economic trends in our industry. We have engineering consultants, engineers, laboratory and field staff in eleven offices and laboratories.
Our Experience. Our success is partly due to our ability to respond to changing market demands. Since inception, RKCI has consistently demonstrated reliability and value-added project engineering and laboratory services, geographically positioned to meet clients’ needs. Our services have changed and expanded as new technologies, materials and design standards have changed, and our services include both standard and customized services, unique to clients or even to specific projects. Headquartered in Texas, RKCI has provided these services across the southwest region of the United States, and is excited to expand our Utah Infrastructure office to include our Geotechnical and Construction Materials services. Funding Types. Having worked on facilities that are funded by federal, city, county, state, and private sources, RKCI has a solid understanding of the different requirements for projects developed with both public and private monies. Our experience with these funding sources can benefit almost any client since we know how to navigate the intricacies of many government or corporate funding processes and regulations. School Districts. RKCI has extensive experience in the education market, including K-16. We have served these clients for our entire 43-year history. We have served and continue to serve more than 500 school districts and higher educational institutions across Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Utah, providing them with trusted, quality Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Engineering and Testing services.
Raba Kistner Consultants has worked on transportation projects all over Texas and on some of the largest and most complicated projects in the southwest. Our engineering, lab services, construction observation and QA/QC services have helped to build roads, bridges, and other components of transportation infrastructure since our company’s inception. We have also provided geotechnical and construction engineering services for the runways and structures of airports across the state, as well as rail systems and related projects.
Our Experience. Raba Kistner Consultants has a long history of supplying services for infrastructure to support the energy industry. We have experience with many kinds of facilities, including power plants, electric transmission lines, oil and gas pipelines, windtricity, and solar energy projects. Our experience within the energy industry as a whole allows us to bring flexibility and rapid deployment of resources to meet clients’ unique needs. As a leader in energy delivery systems, clients trust us to help develop many different power, pipeline and transmission line projects. In addition, our ability to use the latest technologies for testing and studies is why we have frequently been asked to perform subsurface investigations for wind turbines, solar technology, transmission stations and lines and substations.
Many of Raba Kistner Consultant’s geotechnical and construction materials engineering and laboratory staff have specialized experience in developing civil infrastructure projects, including how to best assist cities, counties, state agencies and federal clients in planning, design, testing and construction inspections. We have provided services for hundreds of water projects in our service areas, including waterlines and ponds, levees, dams and channels. Our engineering department has a unique understanding of the structural requirements of levees and dams, having provided services for many of these projects, most recently for federal clients on the US-Mexico border.
