BLAKE WRIGHT, PE, AND PRESTON PARKER, PE, PMP, PROMOTED IN COMET LEADERSHIP SUCCESSION

Blake Wright, PE

Blake Wright, PE, has been promoted to Associate and Construction Materials Engineering and Testing (CoMET) Department Manager for San Antonio. Blake began his career at Raba Kistner in 2007 and has been Project Manager in the San Antonio Engineering department where he was responsible for developing new and enhancing existing client relationships, overseeing geotechnical engineering projects and mentoring staff engineers.

Starting at Raba Kistner as a Geotechnical Technician, Blake gained extensive knowledge and understanding of geotechnical engineering concerns and considerations common to South/Central Texas through scheduling and coordinating drilling activities, performing on-site project visits, assigning applicable laboratory testing of soil and rocks samples, interpreting lab testing results and writing geotechnical engineering reports. He also has experience as a Paving Solutions Engineer with a concrete and cement manufacturer. “Blake has worked with staff, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other project team members to provide professional consulting services with passion and integrity. He will capably continue enhancing the San Antonio CoMET department’s reputation of excellence. Blake exemplifies our Raba Kistner core value of community by giving back to our profession through involvement in professional organizations, teaching new generations studying construction and engineering, and serving in the United States Navy Reserve,” said Preston Parker.

Preston Parker, PE, PMP

As previously announced, Preston Parker, PE, PMP, Senior Vice President, has been promoted to Division Practice Line Leader for CoMET. With more than 20 years of experience overseeing varied CoMET projects in the San Antonio/South Texas area, Preston will take on divisional leadership responsibilities for the practice line to help grow Raba Kistner’s legacy services.

“Preston’s technical and managerial expertise combined with his commitment to service for our clients will be an asset across the Consultants division. Preston demonstrates our core values of integrity and quality through his hard work, leadership skills, and client interactions” said Gabriel Ornelas, Jr., PE, PMP, Senior Vice President. “As I step into the Chief Operating Officer Role for the Consultants division, I will count on Preston to continue his never-ending desire to improve our services and find ways to provide more opportunities for our staff.” After 40 years of dedicated service to Raba Kistner, Executive Vice President Paul Lampe retires at the end of the year as Chief Operating Officer, Consultants. “While I am looking forward to my retirement, I am also excited to celebrate the promotions of my colleagues. They are the future of Raba Kistner and it is bright,” said Paul.
