A “challenge coin” is a coin or medallion bearing an organization’s insignia and carried by the organization’s members. Historically, challenge coins were presented by military unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of the unit. At Raba Kistner, we’ve started a tradition of presenting challenge coins from our senior leadership to employees who go above and beyond in exemplifying one of our core values through an extraordinary action or consistent exceptional behaviors.

Congratulations to Susan Filyk, Corporate Director of Marketing, and Mike Frisbie, Senior VP & Central Texas Marketplace Leader, for being recognized with our Raba Kistner Values coin for Community at a recent RK Annual Management Meeting.  They received this honor for leading the Raba Kistner Charitable Foundation since its inception.  Susan chairs the Fund Distribution committee while Mike chairs the Fundraising committee.  Their leadership and the efforts and generosity of staff helped the foundation to distribute over $500,000 over the last four years to charitable organizations throughout the communities we serve.  This Values Coin recognizes Susan and Mike’s exceptional efforts to bring the firm’s core value of Community to life.
