Ian Perez, PE, has been promoted to Vice President and Manager of San Antonio Geotechnical Engineering. Ian began his career at Raba Kistner as an intern while completing his Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering. In 2012, Ian was called on to expand Raba Kistner’s geotechnical and construction materials testing service line in New Braunfels, Texas, where he was promoted to Area Project Manager. Ian will be responsible for the leadership and management of the San Antonio Geotechnical Engineering staff as well as the New Braunfels Engineering staff.

His new roles and responsibilities will include daily leadership responsibilities of managing staff and resources, developing new client relations, executing contracts, ensuring quality of our services to our clients, and growing the revenue of our engineering business within his expanded marketplace. Ian will co-exist in both offices and continue to translate engineering projects and clientele into CoMET opportunities. The New Braunfels CoMET operations will be managed by existing staff with support from our San Antonio CoMET department, as well as from Ian.

Eric J. Neuner, P.E., who has led our San Antonio Geotechnical Engineering Department for the last eight years has been promoted to Division Practice Line Leader for Geotechnical Engineering. He will continue to reside in the San Antonio office and will work closely with the San Antonio Geotechnical department and provide technical support to the other Consultant offices. Over the years, Eric has demonstrated a dedicated focus to quality, a desire to improve Raba Kistner’s technical competence, and the passion for solving complex geotechnical problems, which makes him perfect for the position.

Some of his new roles and responsibilities include improving deliverables, helping develop young staff, finding ways to include technology to improve our efficiency and technical competency, enhancing engineering breadth of knowledge of our staff, and continuing to seek geotechnical opportunities. He will continue to be involved in high profile geotechnical engineering studies, offering his technical expertise and risk management/mitigation skills. Eric founded Raba Kistner’s Monthly Consultant Engineering Forum, which is a virtual platform to improve technical collaboration and competence across the division. He will find similar ways to improve the division’s operation and will be a corporate resource for all of Raba Kistner’s offices.
