RABA KISTNER ANNOUNCES NEW LEADER OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - THOMAS D. BURR- San Antonio

Raba Kistner has announced that Thomas Burr has joined Raba Kistner as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Raba Kistner Environmental (RKE). Thomas has 21 years of experience in the environmental field, including most recently with Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I), where he was Office Director and Environmental and Infrastructure Operations Manager. Thomas will be responsible for expanding the environmental department’s services and technical competencies; for management of their client base; for implementing best practices, methods and processes; for executing plans to expand into new service Iines, market sectors, and geographies; and for developing staff. 

His past responsibilities while at CB&I included supervision of office employees, business development and management, and oversight and execution of Environmental and Infrastructure projects within an operating segment encompassing 18 states and 11 office locations in the Midwestern and Southern United States.

Raba, President of Raba Kistner, Inc. “His experience will help us expand our environmental services into new areas – particularly environmental permitting - and he will help greatly with staff development. We are all excited about going forward with Thomas.”

Thomas received his MS in Environmental Science from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies from Baylor University in 1994 and his BS in Biology from the University of Oregon in 1992.

Steve Jones, Senior Vice President and former COO of RKE, will remain with the firm to help Thomas transition to his new role. Steve will also be assuming new responsibilities in the firm, focusing on strategic growth efforts and technical lead on major project pursuits in the Southwestern United States.
