RABA KISTNER CONSULTANTS ANNOUNCES THE HIRE OF JACOB R. FUENTES, EIT- San Antonio
Preston S. Parker, PE, Vice President of Raba Kistner Consultants, Inc., (Raba Kistner) announced that the firm has hired Mr. Jacob R. Fuentes, EIT to serve as a construction materials engineering and testing Engineer-in-Training. Mr. Fuentes is serving as a project manager on various projects for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) across Central Texas, as well as for the new $110 million Kallison Ranch High School for Northside Independent School District.
Mr. Fuentes’s primary responsibilities include reviewing project documents, technical review of observation and testing reports, client communication, reviewing field and laboratory engineering reports, performing construction materials testing engineering investigations and studies dealing with construction related issues. Mr. Fuentes will also coordinate and participate in field investigations, classification and characterization of construction materials’ physical properties, and assignment of laboratory and field tests.
Prior to joining Raba Kistner, Mr. Fuentes served as a Construction Inspector and Engineering Assistant for the San Antonio District of TxDOT. He also gained more than five years of experience in the field of materials testing as a laboratory technician for various firms in the San Antonio area.
Mr. Fuentes is certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, and the Texas Asphalt Paving Association. He is a member of the San Antonio Chapters of the American Concrete Institute and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Fuentes received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014.
