Dr. David R. Turner, Environmental Planner
San Antonio Dr. David R. Turner has recently joined Raba Kistner Environmental, Inc. as Environmental Planner. Dr. Turner holds a Doctor of Philosophy and Masters of Science in Geology from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music/Geology from the College of William and Mary. Dr. Turner is primarily responsible for preparing environmental planning documents related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). He is involved in environmental planning studies, including preliminary route analyses, waters of the U.S. and wetlands, threatened and endangered species habitat evaluations, socioeconomic analyses, and the use of geographic information systems (GIS). He is well versed in the areas of environmental impact assessment, geochemical consulting, groundwater contaminant transport, site decommissioning, and facility hazard assessment. He has worked during the past 18 years preparing NEPA documents at the Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Statement level under contracts with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
