RABA KISTNER ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES PROMOTION OF SAM BLANCO, AICP TO ASSOCIATE- San Antonio
Steve Jones, CHCM, Senior Vice President and COO of Raba Kistner Environmental, Inc. (RKEI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raba Kistner, Inc., has announced that Sam Blanco, AICP, has been promoted to Associate of the company. Mr. Blanco has been a valuable asset to Raba Kistner since 2002 and, over these 12 years has been an exemplary employee and excelled in a number of roles.
Mr. Blanco joined RKEI as an environmental planner, and consistently exhibited a dedication to his clients, the company, and a desire to serve as a leader, providing ecologically-friendly solutions for his projects. “On multiple occasions, Mr. Blanco has worked beyond the call of duty to successfully complete major projects, meet challenging deadlines or resolve client issues,” said Jones. “His professional conduct in all work-related matters has always been note-worthy, consistent and dependable. Sam is respected by all of his peers and works successfully with them to garner cooperation, unity and success with project goals.”
Mr. Blanco is responsible for managing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and natural resource planning and permitting projects, including Environmental Assessments (EA); Categorical Exclusions (CE); Waters of the U.S. determinations/delineations; threatened and endangered species habitat evaluations, and other studies for local, state, and federally-funded projects. Mr. Blanco has experience working with the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Water Development Board, the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, among many others.
Mr. Blanco has a Master’s of Science in Environmental Science from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University – Kingsville.
