STEVEN W. FUNDERBURG, PE, PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF RABA KISTNER INFRASTRUCTURE, INC.- Austin

Russel Lenz, PE and COO of Raba Kistner Infrastructure, Inc. (RKI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raba Kistner, Inc., has announced the promotion of Steven W. Funderburg, PE, to Vice President. Mr. Funderburg has proven himself to be a valuable resource in Environmental Compliance for the company, serving as the Environmental Compliance Manager (ECM) for projects such as the Dallas Horseshoe project and the Loop 1604 Western Extension project.

Mr. Funderburg has more than 30 years of environmental engineering and compliance experience, and has been a constant with Raba Kistner for more than 20 of those. Mr. Funderburg has managed complicated projects ranging from permitting for municipalities to the investigation of Superfund sites. His experience included serving as a full-time compliance manager for the design and construction of State Highway 130, where he was responsible for managing the pre-construction due diligence and clearance for more than 400 parcels of land purchased for the project.

“Mr. Funderburg effectively and efficiently manages the environmental components of multiple projects,” says Lenz. “He does an exceptional job guiding and mentoring staff in the application of environmental rules and regulations, insuring projects incorporate environmental commitments and meet regulatory agency requirements.”

Mr. Funderburg holds a Master’s in Engineering, a Master’s of Art in Botany, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology, all from the University of Texas at Austin.
